Dr. Lam graduated from the University of Calgary from the faculty of Medicine and finished his family practice residence in Calgary. He subsequently qualified as a Fellow of Canadian College of Family Physicians (FCFP), in addition to being a Certificant of the College of Family Physicians. He has an additional certification and competence in the Care of Elderly (COE). Prior to his medical career, Dr. Lam was a registered Pharmacist in Great Britain and Canada.
Dr. Lam and his colleagues are very passionate about medical teaching and research. He is a Planner and Organizer for both national and local education, and a co-editor for periodical drug use in elderly. He is an Associate Clinical Professor in Medicine at the University of Calgary. He has published and has been involved in many research studies. Dr. Lam was an active clinical investigator in many landmark studies, such studies include HOPE study, JUPITER study, and in the development of Oseltamivir (Tamiflu), sitagliptin and some SGLT-2s NOACs.
He has been working in acute care hospitals mostly at the Rockyview General Hospital as a Hospitalist. He is a very active in care of the elderly and is a Medical Director of two large nursing homes in Calgary. He is also an active attending physician at Glenmore Park Centre for physical rehabilitation and transitional care for the elderly.
He is married with three grown up children. His favourite past time includes travelling, eating, and medium distance running.
Dr. Tam graduated from the medical program at University of Alberta, and completed his residency training in Family Medicine at the University of Calgary. Prior to his medical career, he obtained his MSc in pharmacology and as done research in the related field. He enjoys the wide scope in family medicine and is excited to continue learning about the evolving field. Much like the other staff in the clinic, he also shares his passion for research and teaching. Currently he holds a position as a clinical lecturer at the University of Calgary. On his days off, his past time includes travelling and also trying out new restaurants with his wife.

Dr. Phillips loves being a family doctor. After growing up in Calgary and completing her Bachelor of Science at the University of Calgary, she moved to Australia where she attended Medical School at the University of Queensland in Brisbane.
Dr. Phillips moved back to Calgary and completed her Family Medicine Residency at the U of C. She enjoys her family practice and supporting her patients through times of health as well as illness. As a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Calgary, she assists in teaching medical students and residents. She has now taken on the role of managing Calgary West Medical Centre as the Physician Lead.
